Omar Gadhi

Biography

I’m an Iraqi-Canadian, living in the vibrant city of Toronto. My journey began in Dubai, where I was born and spent my early years before immigrating to Canada at the age of ten. Growing up, I faced unique challenges, including dealing with a fragmented family and receiving treatment at SickKids Hospital. These experiences have shaped my resilient and optimistic outlook on life.

I pursued my education at the University of Toronto - St. George, majoring in Global Health and minoring in Statistics and the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology. This diverse academic background has equipped me with a holistic understanding of technology and its impact on society.

Professional Journey

Currently, I’m working as a Data and Process Improvement Analyst at Loblaw Companies Limited, where I’m pioneering AI technology integration to streamline operations and enhance decision-making processes. My role involves developing innovative solutions that drive efficiency and deliver tangible business results.

Interests

Outside of work, I’m a sports enthusiast, playing soccer twice a week and hitting the gym regularly. My love for sports extends beyond physical activity; it’s a way to unwind and connect with like-minded individuals. I’m also an avid reader, gamer, and tech enthusiast, always exploring new trends and technologies to stay ahead in my field.
